On the 26th of June, 2024, Khun Claire, our Crochet Designer, had an opportunity to catch up with her professor of Moulage, Khun Narin, Founder of Narin Couture. The key take-away she learned is all about craftsmanship as well as his determination in tailor career that she can apply for crochet fashion.

The Yarn Journey Episode 1 on 25/05/2024
On 25 May, 2024, Khun Claire, our Crochet Designer and Business Development Manager ran the workshop of basic crochet and knitting at Creative Space, Public House Hotel, Soi Sukhumvit 31, Bangkok, in collaboration with Bangkok Women’s Collective.She feels impressed that the learners can learn fast and progress their DIY projects; summer hats, winter hats, hair ties, and mini-hearts pigpag bags. She’s so grateful that those needle activities made her meeting with new friends from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, … and no boundary to connect with them.

The Yarn Journey Episode 2 - New Larger Space
After Bangkok Needle Home has run needle workshops at The Phyll Community Mall on G floor for eight months, we decided to take the space nearby so that we could have more corners to serve more and more customers. Apart from Studio Claire inside Bangkok Needle Home, we started to build a cozy crochet café and tearoom where customers can meet with more new friends who have passion in needleworks; crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross-stitch, macrame, …Little and sustainable happiness is around us and you would feel at home when you embark your journey in needle hobby with usStay-tuned to see more our full operations served with coffee/tea and with madeleines/biscuits EFFECTIVE ON 16 JUNE.

The Yarn Journey Episode 3 - Maison Tailue & Claire Crochet
It is honorable for Claire Crochet to collaborate with Maison Tailue and support sustainable fashion through the collection of Claire Raffia Bags. We crochet cross-body bags with raffia yarns and sew cover bags with the beautiful Thai cotton weaving fabrics & natural dyes called "Phatortailue Tricoter”. Special thanks to Khun Anlee for the fruitful collaboration with Claire Crochet. She is the Successor of Maison Tailue and she is awarded as one of the Successors of Thai prestigious handicraft and heritage by SACIT. We appreciate her talent, determination and passion in weaving and carrying on the creation and production of those gorgeous Tailue fabrics as well as Maison Tailue which is a part of our yarn journey!

The Yarn Journey Episode 5 The Loom Bangkok & Bangkok Needle Home
On 24 September, 2024, Khun Claire, our Crochet Designer and Needle Instructor visited The Loom Bangkok and met with Khun Muay, Founder of The Loom Bangkok. She’s so inspired by various kind of looms imported from New Zealand as well as lovely cotton and silk yarns made in Thailand.Khun Muay is also a Weaving Instructor and she has provided workshops in weaving scarfs and bags as well as the projects of Weaving Art for 15 years. It’s amazing that most of learners are foreigners. If you come to Thailand and stop by in Bangkok, let’s visit The Loom Bangkok and start weaving hobby/leisure.
